God is Love

A few years ago, Billy Graham proclaimed with resolve, “When I die, tell others that I’ve gone to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—that’s where I am.” 

The greatest promise ever given to the human race came from the lips of our Redeemer when Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me…I go to prepare a place for you…I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also” (John 14:1–3).

Billy Graham preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ to some 215 million people through his crusades and simulcasts around the world. Although we are grieving, we know Heaven rejoices. Here is one of our favorite devotions by Dr. Graham. We hope it will uplift and comfort you today.


Who can describe or measure the love of God? Our Bible is a revelation of the fact that God is love. When we preach justice, it is justice tempered with love. When we preach righteousness, it is righteousness founded on love. When we preach atonement for sin, it
is atonement necessitated because of love, provided by
love, finished by love.

When we preach the resurrection of Christ, we are preaching the miracle of love. When we preach the abiding presence of Christ, we are preaching the power of love. When we preach the return of Christ, we are preaching the fulfillment of love.

No matter what sin we have committed, no matter how black, dirty, shameful, or terrible it may be, God loves us. We may be at the very gate of hell itself, but God loves us with an everlasting love.

The proof? Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, went to the Cross for us.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

THE CURE FOR DECEPTION

Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character  1 Corinthians 15:33 AMPC. The Lord Jesus warned us to be wary of deception. In Matthew 24:4 , He cautions, “... Take heed that no man deceive you .”  In the epistles, the Apostle Paul repeatedly warned of the dangers of deception. Notice what he said in the opening text, “ Do not be so deceived and misled ...”; because it's easy to be deceived. Satan’s capital strategy in derailing Eve was deception. In 2 Corinthians 11:3 , Paul captures it; it says, “ But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ .”  Therefore, by understanding how Satan deceived Eve, you can gain insight into how to stay ahead of him and prevent yourself and others from being deceived. I want to welcome you to today's very special program. This phase is a short one. During the global communion Service on Sunday, I began to talk to you about something.  I asked "where are we on God's timetable?" In God's timeline, where are we? I wanted you to understand some things.  Psalm 102:13 Here the psalmist prays and says something to God. In the spirit, he knew it was the set time for God to favor Zion.  So he says " thou shall arise and have mercy upon Zion. .." This is in reference to Zion/ Israel as a nation. Wherever you are in the world, whichever country you are in, it's important to know what's God plan for your country. Where are you in God's timetable? Does God have a plan? Can his plan be actuated? Across the world, to every nation, it's God's moment and hour to have mercy on all nations and favour all nations.  This is important.
