THE CURE FOR DECEPTION

Image
Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character  1 Corinthians 15:33 AMPC. The Lord Jesus warned us to be wary of deception. In Matthew 24:4 , He cautions, “... Take heed that no man deceive you .”  In the epistles, the Apostle Paul repeatedly warned of the dangers of deception. Notice what he said in the opening text, “ Do not be so deceived and misled ...”; because it's easy to be deceived. Satan’s capital strategy in derailing Eve was deception. In 2 Corinthians 11:3 , Paul captures it; it says, “ But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ .”  Therefore, by understanding how Satan deceived Eve, you can gain insight into how to stay ahead of him and prevent yourself and others from being deceived. Remember that Paul was speaking to God’s people when he said, “ ...

The Message of Love

Image
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life ( John 3:16 ). When preaching the Gospel, some Christians focus primarily on the subject of sin, emphasizing the need for people to repent of their sins. The message of repentance was apt for the Jews because they were under the Law. What was required of them was to turn away from wrong when they sinned, unto God. However, non-Jews—the Gentiles—had nothing to turn away from because they were never under the Law, which in itself was their condemnation. The Bible says, “ For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law ” ( Romans 5:13 ). But then, the Bible says, “ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God ” ( Romans 3:23 ). This includes both Jews and Gentiles. If the Gentiles didn’t break the Law because it wasn’t given to them, where then was their sin? We learn in the book of Genesis ...

YOUR LOVEWORLD SPECIALSSEASON 7 PHASE 2 DAY 3.10TH MARCH 2023

I want to welcome you to today's program. It's day 3 and the final session for season 7 PHASE 2. We looked through Psalm 102:13 each day of this phase. We will go one step further today. I explained that this was directly referenced to Israel but that it is of prophetic significance to the nations of the world in the light of Isaiah 49: 8 . This is made even clearer in the writing of Paul the apostle in 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 . Yesterday I explained to you reading it from the living bible. ( Isa 49:8B ) He explains it more clearly so you can see the reasoning of Apostle Paul  2 Cor 5:20-21... 2 Cor 6:1 Through you I am saying to the prisoners of darkness "Come out "..  We are His ambassadors. We are coworkers together with Him in the light of Isaiah's prophecy  This is the set time of mercy and favor. It's a day of salvation. A day of help.  So we can expect in this day and hour to receive help from God. That no matter what's happening, knowing God's tim...

YOUR LOVEWORLD SPECIALS. SEASON 7, PHASE 2 , DAY 2. 9TH MARCH 2023

I want to welcome you to today's program.  Yesterday we began to talk about God's plan for the nations in this present hour. Psalm 102:13 I explained that He was talking about Israel and describing a certain period, but this church age is very much in line with what the psalmist spoke of here.  Isaiah 49: 7-8 .  "To establish the earth. To cause to inhabit the desolate heritages ". Let's read from the Living bible. Israel will be used by God to do this at the millennial reign of Christ, but this is the church age where the church is sent to the nations of the world. Isn't that the commission that He gave us? He gave us authority to set the prisoners free.  2 Cor 6:1-2 This grace of God that was given to us in Christ Jesus, brings this blessing that Isaiah spoke about, to pass.  We are workers together with Him. He sends us to the world. This was Paul's thinking. No wonder he says "we are ambassadors of Christ as though God did beseech you by us......

𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝟕, 𝐏𝐇𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝟐, 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟏𝟖𝐓𝐇 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐂𝐇 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

I want to welcome you to today's very special program. This phase is a short one. During the global communion Service on Sunday, I began to talk to you about something.  I asked "where are we on God's timetable?" In God's timeline, where are we? I wanted you to understand some things.  Psalm 102:13 Here the psalmist prays and says something to God. In the spirit, he knew it was the set time for God to favor Zion.  So he says " thou shall arise and have mercy upon Zion. .." This is in reference to Zion/ Israel as a nation. Wherever you are in the world, whichever country you are in, it's important to know what's God plan for your country. Where are you in God's timetable? Does God have a plan? Can his plan be actuated? Across the world, to every nation, it's God's moment and hour to have mercy on all nations and favour all nations.  This is important. I've often said this and it's true: Every nation gets the leadership it deser...

THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge ~ Hosea 4:6 Two striking things are revealed to us in our theme verse: the first is the fact that God’s people can be destroyed and the second is the reason it’s possible for them to be destroyed, which is their lack of knowledge of God’s Word. The ignorance of God’s Word is such a terrible thing. Jesus said to the Jews,  “ You err, because you don’t know the Scriptures ” ( Matthew 22:29 ). This helps us further understand why the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15 , “ Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. ”  The solution to every problem, the answer to every question, and everything you’d ever require in life are all in the Word. Don’t ignore the Word. To ignore the Word is to set yourself up for failure and unnecessary hardships in life.  Jesus said, “ And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free ”  ~ John 8:32. Proverbs  1...

HE GAVE US HIS NAME!

Image
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name-  Philippians 2:9 At the mention of the Name of Jesus, the Bible says every knee should bow. This is the sovereign decree of Almighty God; it’s a law in the spirit-realm. When the Name of Jesus is called, everyone submits to it in heaven, in the earth, and under the earth. It’s impossible to resist the power of His Name. This is the Name He gave us to live by.  The Bible says, “ And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus …” ( Colossians 3:17 ). Do you know what this means? Many people pray in the Name of Jesus; but for some, it’s just a religious observation or rite. Some don’t even believe, but they pray in His Name anyway.  For those of us who believe in Him, the Bible says in Mark 16:17-18 , “ And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serp...

Mercy Seat?

What Does It Mean that God Is Merciful? The word mercy is one of those words that many of us grew up hearing all the time, but we possibly never truly understood its meaning. If I were in my grandmothers’ presence for any length of time, both would eventually have reason to call on the Lord with the famous southern prayer, “Laud, have mercy!”  In that context, I knew exactly what mercy was. It was whatever the Lord would do for my grandmothers to help them not skin my hide. As the years passed and I matured spiritually, I began to suspect that the word mercy likely carried a much deeper meaning than my grandmothers’ usage, especially as it related to God.  On more than one occasion, through the years, I have found this to be true as God daily displays deeper and deeper depths of His merciful character in ways that always leave me in awe.  This is, in fact, the question which we are seeking to answer. What does mercy reveal about the heart and character of God? The only pl...

The Beauty of Grace.

Image
GRACE HEAPED UPON GRACE . But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever Amen (2 Peter 3:18 ) Did you know that you could walk in ever increasing grace? This is what God wants for your life: grace heaped upon grace such that no matter the challenges you face, the grace to put you over is available.   John 1:16 says, “ And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace .” The Amplified version says, “ For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift] .” The Greek margin actually says, “Grace heaped upon grace.” This encompasses spiritual blessings, favours, gifts, etc. Every day, be conscious that you have grace for whatever you need and for anything you have to do. The grace of God on your life is the inner working of the glory and power of God tha...

Casual Sex!

Many people wonder what the big deal with casual sex is. For many it begins like this: They’re on a date, and kissing begins to turn into something more. They know what the Bible says about sex before marriage but they’re excited and feeling good about where things are going. Surely, God won’t mind. They believe that once they do get married, they’re sure they’ll be able to commit to that one special person, but for now, what’s the problem with having some fun and exploring sex? For a lot of people, sex is no big deal. Purity and chastity seem to be virtues that have gone out of fashion. The crisis of values has led many young people to see sex as the center of their dating relationship. Many people believe it’s for fun and pleasure, but it doesn’t have to be confined to a committed marriage. In fact, a lot of people would say, “sleep with as many people as you can,” or “have as much sex as you can!” These are the messages and cues we receive from the media – in magazines, on TV and on...

Cremation.

Is it wrong to cremate a person’s body according to the Bible? Historically, cremation has not been part of the Christian tradition. Early Christians agreed with their Jewish ancestors that cremation was not an option they would consider, even though the Bible includes no specific mandate prohibiting it. However, this view has transformed over the years. Today, many of us have friends or family members who were cremated and cremation is sounding more and more like something we might consider for ourselves. But is cremation an acceptable option for Christians? Many factors influence a person’s choice on what to do with the body after death. Some of these factors include wealth of the family, the status of the individual, the climate of the country, health, sanitation and religious beliefs, among other things. Among these variables comes the debate of burial vs. cremation. The previously named factors contribute to the choices that each individual and family will make with respect to the...

PRAISE HIM

And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them (Acts 16:25). Something remarkable about the way Paul and Silas praised the Lord in Acts 16 was that they were exuberant in their praise and worship of the Lord. It was supposed to be for them a moment of gloom, loneliness and despondency, but rather than be overwhelmed with despair, they sang praises unto God. They didn’t just mutter songs quietly, fearful of the prison guards, they sang as loud as they could such that the prisoners heard them. This is one of the faith-ways to respond in the face of contrary situations; you praise and worship the Lord exuberantly, knowing that in Him you’re more than a conqueror. If it seems as though you’re in the “darkest hour” of your life, don’t despair! Don’t try to remind God of the problem, no; praise Him! You might say, “But if I don’t tell Him my problems, He won’t know what’s on my mind”; you’re wrong. He knows everything, because He’s God. Take yo...

PRAISE!

ACTIVATE GOD’S POWER THROUGH PRAISE BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME. 2 Chronicles 20:21-22 TLB “After consultation with the leaders of the people, he determined that there should be a choir leading the march, clothed in sanctified garments and singing the song “His Loving-Kindness Is Forever” as they walked along praising and thanking the Lord! And at the moment they began to sing and to praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to begin fighting among themselves, and they destroyed each other! Three nations—Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir—had come out against Judah and were ready to attack her. The people of Judah became frantic and began to cry out in fear. However, their king, Jehoshaphat, decided to gather all the people together for a prayer and fasting meeting. As they prayed, God revealed to them the exact location of their enemies’ camp, and gave them a very unique strategy to defeat them: they were not to fight but to sing praises to His Name! 2 Chronicles 20:22...
