Go Out and Declare

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
I Peter 2:9‭-‬10 NKJV

Peter is speaking here to people who were being persecuted for their faith. He reminds them of all the blessings and the privileges they have received from God. They are a people specifically chosen by God! God has placed his holiness upon them and separated them as a special and treasured possession! They have a call from God and find themselves in the center of God’s will even in the midst of persecution. Their job in it is to stand firm and to declare the praises of the one who has taken them from darkness and into his light! We have tremendous value! For WE are the light of the world! WE are the ones who push back the darkness as we shine with the light of his glory! 

Church, in 2022, let us go forth in the fullness and power of our God! Let us put away all that hinders and reflect His great glory, as we declare to a world that is dying around us, the beauty and wonder of our great God and His power to save!

Respond in Prayer: Father, what do I need to hear from you today? What is on your heart for your church in this very hour?

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ! I am overwhelmed with gratitude that you desired me as your own child and now, through the richness of your grace, I am adopted into your family. You have given me your name and sealed me with your Spirit which guarantees our union forever. I will love you by believing Your words with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength. I will trust you with my life and follow where you lead. All praise, glory, wisdom, thanks, honor, power, and strength belong to you Lord, both now and forevermore, in Jesus name, Amen!

I want to welcome you to today's program.  Yesterday we began to talk about God's plan for the nations in this present hour. Be Generous and Cheerful

Be Generous and Cheerful  As Christians, we should be generous people, giving whatever we can whenever we can. And that doesn't just mean money, we can give help, encouragement, time, talents and forgiveness.  This means we can't let selfishness get in the way. A lot of people are stingy, clinging to what they have and afraid to give it up. Others aren't stingy in their actions, but they are stingy in their hearts, giving because they feel obligated, not because they really want to.  But this isn't the way God calls us to give. Second Corinthians 9:7 tells us, "God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, 'prompt to do it') giver [whose heart is in his giving]."  If you think about it, when we give our lives to God, everything we have is His anyway, it no longer belongs to us. We should be givers, using our resources the way He wants us to.  Give cheerfully today
