THE FUTURE

Today’s Prayer “God I pray for my child’s future. Help them to discover the gifts you have blessed them with. I pray for the future friends. I pray for the future spouse. I pray that they would follow you now and into eternity.”

One of the greatest acts of release is praying for the future of your child. It’s a crazy world out there, and nothing is guaranteed. When we pray for their future we open up faith that God is in control, He will make a way, and He will guide our child. One of the roles of a good parent is to help your child learn new skills and abilities to not only equip them for daily life but also to help them discover gifts that God has uniquely designed them with.

Children are also very impressionable and praying for quality friends for your children will likely influence who they become. Sometimes it’s important to pray that particular questionable friends may be removed from your child’s life.

Next, we turn to praying for your child’s future spouse. That God would raise them up to be a godly partner, who also follows the Lord. Be reminded that only God knows the future and by praying these prayers we are entrusting our children in faith to their heavenly Father.

Be Generous and Cheerful

Be Generous and Cheerful  As Christians, we should be generous people, giving whatever we can whenever we can. And that doesn't just mean money, we can give help, encouragement, time, talents and forgiveness.  This means we can't let selfishness get in the way. A lot of people are stingy, clinging to what they have and afraid to give it up. Others aren't stingy in their actions, but they are stingy in their hearts, giving because they feel obligated, not because they really want to.  But this isn't the way God calls us to give. Second Corinthians 9:7 tells us, "God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, 'prompt to do it') giver [whose heart is in his giving]."  If you think about it, when we give our lives to God, everything we have is His anyway, it no longer belongs to us. We should be givers, using our resources the way He wants us to.  Give cheerfully today
